REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
The Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador regulatory agencies are working with the Canadian Alliance of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Regulators (CAASPR) to standardize registration processes for both Canadian and international applicants. Foreign trained graduates and applicants intending to register and become practicing Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists in Manitoba or Newfoundland and Labrador are required to register with CAASPR at: https://caaspr.ca/user/login
ENTRY TO PRACTICE EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT
Successfully completing and passing a qualifying entry-to-practice examination is a regulatory requirement in most Canadian provinces.
Those seeking full professional practice registration in both Manitoba or Newfoundland and Labrador are required to complete the CETP exam.
MANITOBA – EXAMINATION AND REGISTRATION ADJUSTMENTS
CASLPM has currently elected to postpone examination requirements and offers all eligible graduates the ability to obtain provisional registration prior to completing the CETP exam. CASLPM strongly encourages provisional members to write the CETP and can provide additional information to its registered members.
NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR – TEMPORARY REGISTRATION
In Newfoundland and Labrador, temporary registration is available for new graduates while they are waiting to write or receive the results of the CETP exam. For further information on temporary registration please contact the Newfoundland regulatory agency.
